  1. The Organisers
    The Organiser of the Contest is Carlsberg Marketing Sdn Bhd (Co. No. 140534-M)

  2. Promotion Period
    The validity period of this Promotion shall be from 16 December, 2019 to 19 January, 2020.

  3. Eligibility
    This Promotion is open to all non-Muslim aged 21 years or above who are residents in Malaysia. All Consumers are subject to the criteria set out below, the Standard Terms and Conditions, the terms and conditions herein and the relevant laws of Malaysia.

    Employees of the Organiser, its associate agencies, affiliates, distributors, dealers, sponsors, advertising and promotional agencies, and members of their immediate families are not eligible to participate in this Promotion Campaign.

  4. How to participate in the Contest
    1. With any purchase of two (2) cartons of Carlsberg Danish Pilsner and/or Carlsberg Smooth Draught AND any one (1) carton of Somersby, Asahi or 1664 Blanc (“Participating Brands”) in a single receipt from any Tesco Malaysia outlets (“Participating Outlets”) and stand a chance to win a Smart Mini Bar or Limited Edition Mini Chiller (“the Prize”).
    2. Submission of Entry is through instant messaging app ‘WhatsApp’ only.
    3. Participant is required to complete the following steps: -
      1. Write your name (as per IC No.) and IC No. on the front side of each proof of purchase (“Receipt”). Must be clear and readable.
      2. Snap a photo of each Receipt (front) and key in Name (as per your IC)<SPACE>I/C No.<SPACE>Receipt No.<SPACE>
      3. Send to 017 – 211 1213.
    4. Participants need to safe keep the original Receipt for verification and redemption purposes.
    5. The Organiser will send out acknowledgment report to successful entry only through instant messaging app ‘WhatsApp’ (“Qualified Submission”).
    6. The Organiser shall be entitled to request the original Identity Card or the originals of other supporting documents/materials for verification purposes.
    7. The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify and remove any Participant from the Promotion without prior notification or disclosure of information should the Participant be suspected of tampering with their entries or breach the Promotion terms and conditions.

  5. Selection of Winner and Prize Redemption
    1. The Prizes for the Promotion are as follows:
      • Weekly Grand Prize x one (1) prize – Smart Mini Bar
      • Weekly First Prize x ten (10) prizes – Limited Edition Mini Chiller
    2. Selection of Winner Period
      Week 1 16 December 2019 to 22 December 2019
      Week 2 23 December 2019 to 29 December 2019
      Week 3 30 December 2019 to 5 January 2020
      Week 4 6 January 2020 to 12 January 2020
      Week 5 13 January 2020 to 19 January 2020
    3. Mechanics on Selection of Winners
      For the Smart Mini Bar (1 unit per week):
      Total number of entries are divided by 2 to find X. X is rounded down to the nearest whole number, and the Xth entry will be selected as the winner. E.g. If there are a total of 101 entries in a week, 101 is divided by 2 = 50.5. Rounded down, the 50th entry is selected as the week’s winner.

      For the Limited Edition Mini Chiller (10 units per week):
      Total number of entries are divided by 10 to find Y. Y is rounded down to the nearest whole number, and every Yth entry will be selected as the winner. E.g. If there are a total of 105 entries in a week, 105 is divided by 10 = 10.5. Rounded down, every 10th entry is selected as one of the week’s winners.
    4. Each Participant can only win one (1) Smart Mini Bar or one (1) Limited Edition Mini Chiller throughout the Promotion Period.
    5. The Organiser reserves the right to substitute with a Prize of similar value, with or without notice.
    6. The Prize is non-refundable, non-transferable and non-exchangeable for cash credit or any other items. Not redeemed within the notified period will be forfeited.

  6. Notification and Prize Redemption
    1. The Organiser will notify the winning Participant through instant messaging app ‘WhatsApp’ and request for their address to send him/her Prize.
    2. To redeem his/her Prize, the Participant must reply the WhatsApp with his/her full and correct address within 14 working days from the date stated in the WhatsApp message, failing which, the Prize will be forfeited.
    3. The Organizer will deliver the Prizes within 10 working days for West Malaysia and within 15 working days for East Malaysia from the date on which the Participant has reverted with his/her full and correct address.
    4. In the event that the Organiser finds the presented receipt is not authentic or invalid then the Organiser shall be entitled to forfeit the Prize without assigning any reasons whatsoever.
    5. The Organiser shall reserve the right to award the Prize to an alternative Participant at its sole discretion at any time.

  7. How to Participate in the Promotion
    1. To participate in the Promotion, the Participant must purchase any six (6) 4-packs or one (1) carton of Somersby, Asahi, and/or 1664 Blanc (“Participating Brands”) in a single receipt from any Tesco Malaysia outlets (“Participating Outlets”) with a Carlsberg Chinese New Year 2020 Redemption Point (booth) with Brand Promoters present during the promotion period.
    2. Upon purchase of the Participating Brand above, the Participant is entitled to redeem one (1) Somersby 200ml Glass. (“the Gift”).

  8. How to Redeem
    1. Participants need to safe-keep the original Receipt for verification and redemption purposes.
    2. Participants must redeem the Somersby 200ml Glass (“the Gift”) at the Redemption Point in the Participating Outlet(s) within the Promotion Period.
    3. Within the Promotion Period, Participants may only redeem their Gift directly from the official Carlsberg Brand Promoter on duty at the designated Redemption Points at the specified dates and times upon presenting valid and unredeemed receipt as the proof of purchase, please refer to clause 10 below.

  9. Where to Redeem

  10. Redemption Terms
    1. Participants can only redeem the Gift from the same participating outlet from which they have made the purchase.
    2. Participants can redeem multiple gifts provided their total purchase quantity in a single receipt fulfils or exceeds the minimum purchase quantity to be entitled to the Gift, i.e. for every 6 x 4-packs or 1 carton of Somersby/Asahi/1664 Blanc purchased in a single receipt, each Participant is entitled to redeem one (1) Somersby 200ml Glass.

    3. Each Participant is only entitled to redeem a maximum of five (5) Somersby 200ml Glasses regardless of purchase amount or quantity in a single receipt.
    4. Receipts that have already been redeemed are not considered valid.
    5. The Organiser reserves the right to substitute any Gift with a Gift of similar value, with or without notice.
    6. The Gift are non-refundable, non-transferable and non-exchangeable for cash credit or any other items.
    7. Gift not redeemed within the notified Promotion Period will be forfeited.
    8. Gift are only available first-come-first served and while stocks last basis.
    9. The Organiser shall not be liable for any non-availability of the Gift(s) at the Participating Outlet(s).

  11. Privacy Policy
    By participating, Consumer explicitly consents that the Organiser shall store the necessary personal data of the Consumer. The Consumer is free to revoke his or her consent to the storage of data by sending an email to the Organiser as stated below and by doing so, the Consumer withdraws his or her participation in this Promotion. The Organiser will use its best endeavours to keep all personal data stored for the purpose of this Promotion strictly confidential.

  12. Additional Terms
    1. By participating, Participants agree to the Terms and Conditions applied.
    2. The Organiser is also not responsible for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay, failure in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction, unauthorised access to, or alteration of, user or member communications, or any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, the website, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, system, apparatus, software, failure of e-mail or receipt of entry on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the internet and/or telecommunication services.
    3. The Organiser reserves the right to amend the Terms and Conditions without prior notice.
    4. The Promotion Terms and the Carlsberg’s Standard Terms and Conditions (collectively “Terms and Conditions”) shall be binding on all Consumers who participate in this Promotion. The definitions in the Carlsberg’s Standard Terms and Conditions shall apply unless otherwise expressly stated in the Contest Terms. In the event of any discrepancies between these terms and conditions and any advertising, promotional, publicity and other materials relating to or in connection with this Promotion, the final Terms and Conditions on Carlsberg’s website shall prevail.
