Question

Who owns Carlsberg?

Answer

Carlsberg is partly owned by the Carlsberg Foundation and partly by individual shareholders.

The clue is not in our name

Our foundation invests in science, art and culture

Funnily enough, there is nobody actually called Mr Carlsberg! The company was founded in 1847 by J. C. Jacobsen. Since Jacobsen's death in 1887, the majority owner of the company has been the Carlsberg Foundation and the rest is owned by individual shareholders.
