Why does draft beer taste better?

If kept under the right conditions there is no quality difference between bottled and draft beer. As draft beer is kept in kegs there is less risk of exposure to light (which affects the taste of beer) that is why sometimes draft beer tastes fresher. But it is also a perception as draft beer seems to be fresher as it is served fresh into a glass at the bar.
